Well this build was designed to push my boundaries on decals - as I have always struggled to get them to conform to complicated shapes - and on this front, thanks to Phils video tutorial and several other members posts I have managed to do a very nice job.
Problems: Well the kit is very nice, but I had real problems with side windows - they dont fit without a good push, even with sanding down, this lead to one cracking (my fault). The major problem with this kit is the paint job, the instructions should clarify where you need to paint the gloss black lines etc. But I got there in the end with a lot of hard thinking.
Really pleased with the decals - there are almost 90 odd on this kit!
Some decals took 3 or 4 softening sessions to mold into place
Rear brake lights are painted silver in centre first, and then sprayed clear red (again no clear instructions from Airfix)
The top decal broke, broke, etc, so this is a combination of decal and paint, not my finest work!
The red brake caliper can clearly be seen through the spokes :-)
Overall I give this model experience 7/10. The kit is described as Skill level 2 of 5, and I disagree with this. It is an intricut kit with alot of parts, but the decal and paint skills needed to finish this model are alot more than level 2!

Fiesta Rally
Petter Solberg wouldn't be any happier with this!!! This is amazing work! I would love to see a diorama of this on a rally circuit getting sideways around a bend with opposite lock on the steering!! I wonder if I could find an Audi R18 model kit yet? Thanks for showing!!
