Blohm and Voss Bv P 194, Revell 1/72

During the last years of WWII, Allies dominated the sky of the nazi Germany. But while dominating in the skies, due the overwhelming number of planes in the air, Allies were far back to the Germans when it was time to talk about aeronautic technology. That was a field where the German supremacy indisputable, as American B17 sadly discovered when they met for the first time the ME 262 jets.
Germany tried to use its technology in the struggling to oppose to the American bomb raids, and many projects of advanced airplanes using jet technology or hybrid technology (mix of jet and pistons engines) were prepared. Some reached the stages of prototype, some were left on the paper.

Revell has released various kit in 1/72 scale of these "paper airplanes", and the Blohm and Voss Bv P 194 is one of them.
The Blohm & Voss P.194 was a design for a mixed-power ground-attack aircraft and tactical bomber developed in Germany during World War II. Like some of Richard Vogt's other designs for Blohm & Voss, the P.194 featured an asymmetric layout.

And it was just this asymmetric layout that catch my attention, pushing me to build this kit.
The kit was very nice: crispy molding, minimum amount of flash. Fitting was generally good, with the exception of the propeller's engine nacelle.
Color used: Vallejo AirColor, airbrushed with an Iwata Eclipse.
