Battlestar Galactica captured many generations in front of the TV screen, starting with the original series broadcasted in 1978, with the last one on-air from 2003 to 2009.
The Battlestar Galactica ship seen in the last series, is the one depicted by the Moebius kit, in 1/4105, a pretty unusual scale just as unusual are the dimensions of the original Galactica (about 1 mile long). Anyway, all this translates in a wonderful model of 13" long, 5.5" wide and 6" tall .
The Moebius kit comes with 67 parts (5 are clear parts).
A nice puls is the provided metal rod that fits into the supplied display stand.
Instruction are printed in color on glossy paper, are very clear, and give also useful hints about the colors. Construction is straightforward, with no problems of fit. Details are nice and very intricate, reproducing the classic look of this monster ship.
For my model I used Model Master buffable metallized colors. First I airbrushed the base color, and then with a round number 1 brush, and 5 more different metallic shades, I painted many different panels.
